about
Alleycats is a fun, catchy little tune which laments the trials of alleycats who get themselves into troublesome situations in the vast world around them. The song speaks of alleycats in general, but specifically follows the experiences of the three cats depicted on the cover art. Whether they're drowning in a river, dodging freight trains in the city, or clinging for dear life from the ceiling, one cannot help feeling compassion and a sense of protectiveness for them.
Alleycats was composed in 2001 but only recently saw the respect and dedication it deserved. Elcheson5 is pleased to provide this timeless classic as their first international single, and the debut offering from their forthcoming EP "87th St."
lyrics
Too many alleycats in the river
Drowning there for all to see
They'd better watch out for that sailboat
They'd better watch out for that fallen tree
So many alleycats
I've seen in my time
So many alleycats
And they're all risking their lives
Too many alleycats in the city
Prowling down 87th Street
They'd better watch out for that freight train
Or else they'll turn into alleycat meat
So many alleycats
I've seen in my time
So many alleycats
And they're all risking their lives
Too many alleycats on the ceiling
They're gonna fall due to gravity
Won't someone please get a bucket
(Oh someone please get a bucket)
So their alleycat guts don't spray on me
So many alleycats
I've seen in my time
So many alleycats
And they're all risking their lives
